Conducive is currently hiring for the following roles:

(Senior) Software Engineer – Perth

  • Experienced Software Engineer
  • Perth based
  • Much of the work is on client site

Conducive require the services of software engineers for both contracting and permanent jobs.

 

The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Implementing software designs.
  • Assist in the development of system concept and requirement specifications.
  • Assist in the development of system architectures.
  • Excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work both in a team and autonomously.
  • Experience and ability to teach or instruct co-workers.
  • Expected to conduct system analysis and development, with limited support from professional staff, to keep our systems current with changing technologies.
  • Define functional specifications of the system for the appropriate hardware.
  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to "think outside the box".
  • Define functional specifications of the system for the appropriate hardware.
  • Research and recommend software tools to management.

 

Selection Criteria/Required Skills:

Technical

  • You will need to have 3 to 10+ years Software Engineering experience.
  • Good to expert knowledge of an object oriented programming language (C++, C#, Java).
  • Knowledge of quality software processes.
  • Good knowledge of software engineering object oriented design patterns.
  • Expert knowledge of standard development tools.

It is highly desirable though not essential that you have:

  • Experience using Windows Communications Foundation, Windows Presentation Foundation and/or Windows Workflow Framework.
  • Experience developing visualisation applications utilising OpenGL or DirectX.
  • Experience using professional modelling tools such as Enterprise Architect or Rational Rose.
  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent in a relevant field e.g.: IT, Engineering or Computer Science.
  • UML, .NET (3.5), J2EE and CASE tools experience.
  • Software requirements analysis.
  • Application development using a database such as Oracle, SQL Server or MySQL.
  • 3D programming language such as OpenGL.
  • Experience with Sharepoint, in particular design and building web portals.
  • Service oriented architecture.
